Not to be left out

I don't have pictures yet of the chickens I expect to do most of the work. Those would be my flock of pullets. A pullet is a young female chicken that hasn't started laying eggs. I bought nine chickens at the livestock auction that supposedly are pullets. It's always a gamble when buying straight runs. They could be roosters. So in a few weeks I should know. In the flock of layers I have Rhode Island Red, Barred Rock, Buff Orpington, and the coveted Americauna. The Americauna is the one that lays a pretty greenish to sky blue shelled egg. They are also called easter egg chickens.
